What activities are included in my retreat?
Because we are an all inclusive retreat, all activities listed on the itinerary for that particular retreat are included in your price. Depending upon what time of year it is, each retreat will focus on particular activities. For instance our October retreat will revolve primarily around surfing, because it is a great time of year for us to take advantage of it on the North Shore, but we will still have other physical activities mixed in. We will expose you to many new and sometimes challenging things, which is where the fun begins. Where are your instructors from?
All of our instructors and guest speakers are affiliated with Kauai and live primarily on the North Shore. We feel that because the island and the community gives us so much, that the only way to give back is to incorporate the many wonderful instructors, teachers and guides that know and love the island as we do. We are allowed to live a very special lifestyle and for that we are very fortunate, which is why it is even more important to work with businesses in the community.
If your retreat shows the dates from the 1st – 8th, does that mean we are there for 8 days?
Yes! That means you arrive on the 1st and leave on the 8th. This gives you seven full nights and eight days to embrace our island way of life. This allows enough time to really immerse yourself in the Kauai experience, unwind and enjoy island life.
Why do you stay in a home as opposed to a hotel?
At Soul and Sport Ventures™ we are not just interested in charging you a fee for a lot of activities and excursions. We are interested in your well being. We want you to have an experience not just a vacation. By staying in a home with people of like mind and spirit it offers up the opportunity for life to fully open up. You may be on the receiving end or on the giving end, all that matters is that you are there to make a difference in someone’s life or your own by simply being present with everyone.
